Today I was roaming around in the market place and Asghar who happened to be there offered to take me on a drive around Leh... He is also the president of the local Muslim Youth Association! He plays cricket and his team was the state champion for a while...
I saw some villages on the way... and the Sindhughat... The river that flows in this place is actually the Indus!!!! Man, I have hit some place in the middle of the Indus valley civilization or what!!! Too thrilled...
Tomorrow we are taking off to some other villages and a closer look at the Stok glacier.
